Our Methodology

Best10Companies helps buyers research companies, compare published information and understand service choices. This page explains the checks and publishing decisions used by the directory and its News and Insights sections. A listing, badge, paid plan and customer rating describe different things; none substitutes for a buyer’s own assessment.

How a Company Listing Enters the Directory

  1. Account confirmation: a business representative registers, confirms the supplied email and sets a password. This establishes access to that account, not ownership of every company using a similar name.
  2. Company submission: the representative supplies a company name, description, city, country, services and sector. Optional contact details, images, pricing and other fields must be accurate and authorized for publication.
  3. Administrative review: an administrator checks category fit, completeness, obvious inconsistencies, contact/website alignment, unsupported claims and whether submitted media is suitable for publication. The submission may be returned for changes or declined.
  4. Ownership assignment: access to a company dashboard is assigned to the appropriate confirmed business account. A published company is not automatically manageable by every person who requests it.
  5. Publication: an approved company record becomes visible. Missing optional information is omitted or identified as not supplied. A record is not described as independently tested merely because it has been published.

We do not claim to have visited every listed facility, audited every business or tested every service. Some profile information is supplied by the company. Confirm current availability, qualifications, contracts and pricing directly before purchase.

Ownership and Verification Labels

Ownership Verified records an administrative ownership check and the association between the representative and the company. It is separate from service quality, customer satisfaction and regulatory approval.

B10 Verified requires an administrator’s recorded check of ownership and the supplied business details. Premier Verified additionally requires a documented review of relevant business credentials. The administrator records the basis privately; the public badge does not disclose confidential evidence. If suitable evidence has not been reviewed, the badge should not be assigned.

Depending on the company and the claim, a review can include the relationship between its website and contact domain, a business record available from an appropriate official source, or relevant documents supplied by an authorized representative. No single evidence source is suitable for every jurisdiction or profession. Do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive identity documents in an initial enquiry. The administrator should request only proportionate supporting information.

These are Best10Companies administrative labels. They are not government certification, professional licensing, a warranty or a guarantee of future performance. A paid plan does not grant a verification badge. A credible challenge to a badge should trigger a review of its recorded basis.

Reviews From Business Clients and Individual Customers

Both Business Client (B2B) and Individual Customer (B2C) experiences are eligible. The reviewer selects the relationship that describes the actual experience. Confirmed customer accounts and confirmed business accounts can submit reviews; a reviewer does not need to publish a company listing to describe a business purchase.

The submission requires a rating from one to five, a review title, an experience description, publication consent and a declaration of independence. Company owners and submitters are automatically prevented from reviewing their own listing. Employees, competitors and incentivized reviewers must not present themselves as independent customers. Other conflicts and the credibility of the account require manual assessment; email confirmation is not an identity investigation.

  1. The review is saved as Pending, outside the public rating.
  2. An administrator examines the company, customer relationship, first-hand detail, relevance, conflicts, private information and potentially unsupported allegations.
  3. The administrator may request clarification or return the review for changes with a note visible in the reviewer’s private dashboard.
  4. Before approval, the administrator records a private evidence/approval note. A submission can remain unpublished if it cannot be assessed adequately.
  5. Only an approved, published review meeting the record checks appears publicly and contributes to the score.

A review can be favourable or critical. Payment or an advertising relationship must not determine whether a genuine eligible review is approved. Material privacy, rights or factual concerns may require correction or removal irrespective of sentiment.

How the Rating Is Calculated

The displayed company score is the arithmetic mean of eligible published review ratings, displayed to one decimal place, together with the number of contributing reviews. There is no paid weighting. Pending, returned, removed or otherwise unpublished reviews do not contribute. If no eligible reviews exist, the listing is shown as not yet rated; a score is not invented.

One review per account per company is supported. Editing an approved review returns that record to Pending and removes its contribution until it is approved again. A changed average can therefore reflect moderation or an edited record, not necessarily a new review. Multiple accounts and undisclosed relationships remain matters for administrative investigation; the platform does not promise automated fraud detection.

Profile Changes and Disputes

Owners submit proposed changes through their company dashboard. For a published company, the existing approved profile remains online while the change request is checked. Changes to services, locations, contact details or claims should be supported by current information. Administrators can return a request for clarification rather than publishing incomplete or inconsistent details.

To report an inaccurate listing, questionable badge or review concern, use the Contact page’s relevant topic and include the company URL, the exact disputed statement and the correction or evidence you can provide. Contact support@best10companies.com for listing and account matters. We may need proportionate verification before changing ownership or private account information. A complaint does not automatically establish that either party is correct.

Featured Placement, Plans and Sponsorship

Featured listings are manually selected in the CMS. Featured visibility is not a top-ten rank, an independently measured performance award or a review result. Profile plans control presentation features such as a gallery, video or advanced company modules; they do not improve an authentic rating or grant verification.

Where visibility is supplied under a commercial arrangement, the administrator must set the sponsorship flag so the placement is labelled Sponsored. Advertising scope and price are agreed separately. A paid placement must not be presented as an independent editorial recommendation.

Editorial Research, Sources and Authors

Insights articles offer buyer guidance and analysis. News includes attributed developments and clearly dated explainers. A retrospective report brief states the source’s original year or publication date and does not imply that an older event happened today. Links near the relevant passage let readers examine the primary source.

The Best10Companies Editorial Desk is the publication’s corporate byline for platform-authored coverage; it is not a fabricated individual expert. Named contributors retain their own bylines where supplied. AI tools may assist research organization and drafting. Editors remain responsible for checking source links, dates, claims, category fit and image context before publication. An illustration or stock photograph is not evidence that a named company or event was photographed.

Corrections and Content-Rights Requests

Send editorial corrections or rights concerns to editorial@best10companies.com, or choose the appropriate Contact form topic. Include the article URL, the relevant passage, the requested change and a reliable source. For image concerns, identify the image and explain your connection to the rights involved.

An administrator reviews the report, compares it with the source and available publication record, and may correct, clarify, remove or retain the material with an explanation. Material changes should be reflected in an updated date or correction note where appropriate. We do not promise a fixed response time that the team cannot reliably meet. Separate privacy requests should go to support.

This methodology describes the publishing process, not a promise that every company will be approved or that a buyer will achieve a particular result. Use the directory alongside current proposals, references and appropriate professional advice.
