Research Context: Source edition/date: 5 October 2023. Research reviewed on 2 November 2026.

A one-minute video may still involve research, script approval, filming, editing, music rights and several people’s schedules. Duration is therefore a poor substitute for a production brief. Agree the work before comparing quotes.

Understand the Research Context

WCAG 2.2 became a W3C Recommendation on 5 October 2023. Read the W3C: WCAG 2.2 Recommendation for the original context. The practical questions below are Best10Companies editorial analysis, not the source organization’s checklist or an endorsement.

What to Ask Before You Commit

Define the audience, distribution channels and the action the viewer should understand. Ask which locations, interviews, graphics, captions and aspect ratios are included. Record the number and purpose of review rounds. Discuss consent and rights for people, locations and third-party material before filming rather than relying on an edit to solve those gaps afterwards.

Check Evidence to Request
Production Script, filming, editing and captions
Versions Formats and channel-specific outputs
Approvals Rights, reviewers and revision boundaries

A Practical Exercise

Write a short outline with the opening question, the main message and the ending. Ask each production team to identify what it would need to turn that outline into an approved deliverable.

Build a Clearer Shortlist

Use the same brief when you compare companies offering Design & Media services. Keep the answers, assumptions and exclusions together so that a later decision is based on comparable information. When you are ready to post your requirement, describe the scope and the evidence you need rather than requesting a general promise of results.
